Located in the Haidian District of Beijing, Shimao Loong Palace is a testament to the beauty of traditional Chinese gardens. Covering a landscape area of about 17,000 square meters, the project combines the grandeur of Northern Royal Gardens with the gracefulness of Southern Private Gardens. This unique blend not only offers a visually stunning landscape but also provides an ideal living environment for modern inhabitants.
The design team, led by Design Director Peng Liu, utilized VR technology to bring their vision to life. This innovative approach allowed them to identify and resolve issues in the construction drawings, thereby improving efficiency and quality of the project. The result is a landscape that is both poetic and royal, reflecting the cultural richness of its location.
The project, which began in 2016 and was completed in July 2018, faced the challenge of creating a unique Neo-Chinese style that would stand out in the market. By combining elements of Northern Royal Gardens and Southern Private Gardens, the team was able to create a landscape that is both grand and delicate. This innovative approach has earned them the prestigious Platinum A' Design Award, which recognizes exceptional and highly innovative designs.
Shimao Loong Palace is more than just a residential landscape. It is a cultural field that carries Chinese culture and spirit. The project draws on the painting Fairyland of Peach Blossoms by the painter Qiu Ying in the Ming Dynasty for its landscape context. The result is a new landscape that combines the essence of southern and northern gardens to realize the ideal living environment for modern people.
In conclusion, Shimao Loong Palace is a testament to the innovative and creative spirit of Shimao Group. By combining traditional Chinese garden designs with modern techniques, they have created a residential landscape that is not only visually stunning but also culturally significant. This project serves as an inspiration for future landscape designs, proving that tradition and innovation can indeed go hand in hand.
